Mile and a third on the bike in the early afternoon. Nine minutes. The kind of ride that has a destination and the destination is probably a gas station or a convenience store.
Louisville in August, one in the afternoon β the sun is doing its absolute worst and you’re on a bike because the car seemed like too much commitment for whatever you needed. A Gatorade. A pack of something. Who remembers. The point is you pedaled there and pedaled back and Strava logged it because Strava logs everything.
Seven-minute pace on a bike isn’t trying. It’s just getting somewhere.
Not every ride needs a reason bigger than “I needed something from the store.”
