There’s something to be said for repetition that boring. It means the habit exists. It means Friday’s walk wasn’t a one-off that you’d conveniently forget by Monday. It means you got up and did the exact same unremarkable thing two days in a row.

Half a mile, seventeen minutes, heart rate 108. Unremarkable. Consistent. Present.

Consistency isn’t exciting. It’s not supposed to be.
